How the full grandparentage test works
1. Order your at-home grandparentage DNA test kit
Order your kit online. It includes collection materials and instructions for the child, alleged paternal grandfather, and alleged paternal grandmother.
2. Collect cheek-swab samples from all three participants
Each participant provides a cheek-swab sample from the inside of the mouth. The sample collection process is non-invasive and does not require blood, needles, medical visits, or appointments.
A parent or legal guardian should collect the sample for a minor child. Carefully follow the instructions in the kit and avoid touching the cotton tip of the swab.
3. Label every sample and complete the information form
Clearly label each participant’s sample materials with the correct relationship role: Child, Alleged Paternal Grandfather, or Alleged Paternal Grandmother. Complete the included informational test form accurately.

4. Return the samples to the laboratory
